Could you please tell me clearly the meaning of below sentence:"I would have helped you".
Please give me a context.

You did not ask for help.
The opportunity to ask for help is in the past.
However, if you had asked me for help, I would have done so.

You carried all those boxes to the third floor by yourself? Why didn't you ask me to carry some? I would have helped you.
The room looks beautiful now that it is painted, but I know you hate painting. If you'd asked me, you know, I would have helped you. I could have painted,and you could have made me dinner!

However, if you [STRIKE]has[/STRIKE] had asked me for help, I would have done so.
