    Why are you looking for 4 things?!

    Anyway, the very first thing is that they should not compare conditionals in English with that of their first language, otherwise, they will get confused for sure.

    They would need to have a knowledge of the present and past tenses, aspects and be able to look at time and possibility. Also, the conditional is not a mood- the subjunctive is a mood.
