    Re: Me vs myself

"Me" is correct. Lots of people think that "myself" is a better or fancier or more polite word to use, but they are wrong.

What about this kind of usage?

A: Who are all going to picnic?

    B: John, Paul and myself.

That is exactly the kind of erroneous usage which is becoming more and more common as people who think that "myself" sounds more formal/fancy etc. For those of us who know how to use it properly, it's infuriating to hear!

In my previous job, I heard many of my colleagues starting to say on the phone "If you need any more help, don't hesitate to contact myself". It was all I could do not to tear the phone from their hands and yell "It's "Don't hesitate to contact ME!" you idiot!" I managed to restrain myself (and yes, that is the correct usage of the word).

    Re: Me vs myself

People have been corrected so many times for their incorrect use of "me" (me and Jimmy were playing football) that they have one to avoid all use of it, even when it is the correct word. I find "between you and I" to be as annoying as "contact Jimmy or myself with any questions."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
