    Toefl's Grammar, question (4)

    Hello Teachers,

Please, could you tell me what the correct answer is, and why you chose that?

4- One of the areas of multimedia that is growing quickly __________ is sound.

    A-Yet is easily overlooked.
    B- Is easily overlooked.
    C- It is easily overlooked.
    D- That is easily overlooked.

(PS: please, tell me what this sentence means, it confuses me.)

    Re: Toefl's Grammar, question (4)

The best answer here is number (A). My question is, is there a reduction after (Yet)?

    Yet it is easily overlooked.

Your choice of answers is correct. The subject of both defining relative clauses is 'that'; there is no need to repeat it. To use 'it' here is not appropriate.

One of the areas of multimedia that is growing quickly yet/but/and is easily overlooked is sound.
