    Which are correct:

    1-When I heard the news, he was already taken to London.
    2-When I heard the news, he had already been taken to London.

    3-When I went into the room, he was already bitten by the dog.
    4-When I went into the room, he had already been bitten by the dog.

    5-When I saw him, he was already beaten up by his friends.
    6-When I saw him, he had already been beaten up by his friends.
