    WOMAD

The people here don' t need any excuse to celebrate,so there' s often something going on, but there isn't much that should affectyour travelling plans
One thing to note is the Canaries JazzFestival, usually around July, and pretty much always with a better line-upthan anything we seem to be able to manage in the UK these daysWOMAD also pays a visit here, around November, for a great free World of Music and Dance Festival

What does the underlined sentence mean, especially "for" in the sentence?

    Thanks

    Re: WOMAD

Something called "WOMAD" is scheduled to come "here" to put on a festival. The festival is free.

WOMAD is an acronym and the clue to its meaning is in the same sentence.
"WOMAD also pays a visit here, around November, for a free World Of Music And Dance Festival".
The slightly different correct version and other information is found in the link supplied by charliedeut.

    not a teacher
