    Cathedral

A person points out that "cathedral" in the following sentence is inappropriate.

This Buddhist temple has a great cathedral.

The person points out that a "cathedral" is the main church of a particular area under the control of a bishop and not suitable for a Buddhist temple. Please give me your advice.

    Re: Cathedral

    Hi,

cathedral - WordReference.com Dictionary of English. Therefore, I understand that "Cathedral" is not suitable to refer to a part of a Buddhist temple.

    Greetings,

    Re: Cathedral

Also, it wouldn't contain a cathedral, because a cathedral is the whole and not a part.
