When I tell I rode to my school, what do you think I rode to school? Bycicle or motobile?
Or "ride" is only used for one of these two transports?
Thanks.

When I tell you I "rode" to my school, what do you think I rode to school - a [STRIKE]Bycicle[/STRIKE] bicycle or a [STRIKE]motobile[/STRIKE] motorbike?
[STRIKE]Or[/STRIKE] Is "ride" [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] only used for one of these two forms of transport? [STRIKE]transports?[/STRIKE]
Thanks.

It would be impossible to say. You could have ridden a bicycle, a tricycle, a unicycle, a motorbike, a scooter, a horse, a donkey, a llama, a tractor ... etc. All of those take "to ride".

Or, if your spelling is poor, you might have rowed a boat.
