    'specialist' and 'expert'

    Hi,
May I know the difference between the two words? Is it the context that requires one over the other, or there's any element giving either a different meaning? Thanks.

A specialist is one who practices a certain and specific skill and may or may not be an expert. An expert is one who is considered by a certain standard to be proficient in a skill.
