    just the way I am

These are all extracted from a boy with Down's Syndrome. Does 1's just mean "exactly" and 2's just mean "please" or "exactly"? The tranlsatioin for 2 goes "exactly", but it sounds weird.

    go1-4p
1.I'm happy just the way I am.
2...Treat me with respect, and accept me for who I am. Most importantly, just be my friend...

Re: just the way I am

    First one: exactly
Second one: simply - you don't have to do more than simply doing this.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
