Is this sentence is grammatical and natural?

    Hello.
I'm thinking of whether I should omit repetitive 'she' in the sentence or let it intact. Is sentence below grammatical and natural itself? If not, I will be grateful to receive any explanation.
"I'm amazed by the fact that she sewed the whole dress for her customer by herself as well as she designed it."

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I think I would use "designed". For example, if I replaced "as well as" with "and" (designed it") OR "and also" (designed it"), would you agree that "designed" would fit better? If so, what is it about "as well as" that you used "designing", since "and". "and also", "as well as" have similar meanings for the example?
