    Question Reported speech

    As far as I know:
When we report questions with who, what or which + to be + object, the verb be can come before or after the object.
Direct speech: "Who is the champion?"
Reported speech: She asked me who the champion was / She asked me who was the champion.

In this way is it possible to say:
    Direct speech: "Who is he?"
Reported speech: She asked me who he was / She asked me who was he.

    Re: Reported speech

If a sentence ends with a question mark, then the word order "who was champion" is appropriate. Look at your sentence beginning "She asked me ..." Does it end with a question mark?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Reported speech

    I exactly ask here:

    Direct speech: "Who is he?"
Reported speech: She asked me who was he.

Is it possible to use 'be' here in Reported Speech?

    Re: Reported speech

Use the word order "She asked me who he was."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
