Exhibit | Define Exhibit at Dictionary.com
Definition 2 is "to manifest or display"
I'm not sure if "benefit" is the best word, but "exhibit" is used correctly.

I want to know whether the usage of the word Exhibit in the below sentence is correct.
The author exhibits the benefit of teamwork in the above passage.
Thanking you ,
The actual text goes like this....
People work more productively in teams than individually. Team work requires cooperation, which motivates people much more than individual competition does"
So with reference to this we can see that the author talks about the following benefits :-
1) increase in production
2.) more motivation thus better work.
so we can say that for the aforementioned passage "benefits" would be a better option. If the author had talked about only one of the benefits we can use "benefit".
Please correct me if i am wrong .
