    seemed rubbish

    Hello!

Is it correct to say 'The way she insisted on that and her advice on how to protect myself from pickpockets seemed rubbish to me'?

    Thank you!

You would seldom hear the term "rubbish" used in AmE, but I understand that it is commonly used in BrE. With that caveat, and given your example I would be inclined to place the word "like" between "seemed" and "rubbish".
Also, in AmE and given the same example, you might hear "seemed ridiculous", for example.

    Thank you!
