Hi,

How do you call a restaurant where the food is like at home? "A homemade-cuisine restaurant"? "A homemade restaurant"?

In Portuguese: "restaurante de comida caseira"

"Home-style cooking" could be one way to say it.

(Unless I'm on vacation and tired of eating out, though, I don't want home-style cooking. I can cook that way myself, for a lot less money. Give me something I can't make myself!)

And in Br Eng we just say 'Home cooking'; note that in both Am Eng and Br Eng we talk about the food rather than the restaurant.

(Some restaurants use the archaic 'peasant fare', but usually that just means 'tasteless, in tiny portions, and overpriced';-))

Home-style cooking restaurants are synonyms of good and cheap restaurants here.
