I was told that "send out a parcel" as in I sent out a parcel to my sister is wrong. Unfortunately, I wasn't told what is wrong with it. Should it be "send a parcel out" or should the phrasal verb go with plural - "send out parcels", or is it something else?
Thanks.

We usually just say 'send a parcel'.

If I were to use a phrasal verb to go with a parcel (or any kind of mail), it would be "send off" but "send" is perfectly adequate.
