Question What is the meaning of "taken" here?

    Hello!

    My first post here...
I would like to know the meaning of the word "taken" in the following text:
    I followed / so taken
So conditioned I could never let go
    It's a part of a lyric.

    Thanks and sorry, I'm hungarian!

So taken with [you], the person the song is about. So in love with you, with such a big crush on you.

    Illustrative example:

She was really taken with him. The way that she talked about him was unbelievable. I didn't think one could like a guy like that

If you are 'taken with' something, you find it appealing, but there does not have to be a romantic feeling:

I'm rather taken with the idea of working in a very cold climate for a time.
