    color pictures

    Please check the following sentences.
    1. Which word is better, "picture or paintings" in the sentences?
    2. Is the phrase "to color pictures in diferent colors" acceptable?

He is a great artist. He is good at painting beautiful pictures about nature. Because he likes to color pictures in different colors, his pictures/paintings are usually colorful.

    Re: color pictures

    Consider these changes:

'He is a great artist. He is good at painting beautiful scenes from nature. He uses a broad palette, so his artwork is usually vividly colourful.'
