    Are the following sentences acceptable? Which one is the best?

    1. The smell of the steak makes my mouth water.
    2. My mouth watered for the smell of steak.
    3. The steak smell makes me drool.
    4. I am salivated by the smell of this steak.
    5. The dish is mouth-watered.

    ing. OK
    Stick with 'mouth-watering'. Forget 'drooling' and 'salivating' for most situations.
