    lined up

What does this "lined up" mean? It seems just a queue, but the translation is "prepared". Does a queue(line up) imply preparation?

mo3-18 ex) Last week, your company came out to paint the stripes on our new parking lot. I was on vacation at the time but when I returned, I was appalled at the poor workmanship that was done. Some of the lines are shorter than others and most are uneven. Our patrons are not even sure how to park. We’ve finally had another company lined up to redo the work next week. The work your company did should be somehow removed.

    Re: lined up

I'd change 'We’ve finally had another company lined up to redo the work next week' to 'We've arranged for another company to redo the work next week.'

    Re: lined up

A line or line-up can be a queue. To line up means to stand in a line or to prepare. To be lined up for something means that you have been booked for it or asked to do it.

Tom Cruise is lined up to play King Henry VIII in a new Hollywood film.
I had the builder lined up to do work on my kitchen next week but he's now told me he's too busy.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
