There is no place looks warm of my mom, besides her heart. My mother is a warmhearted, generous lady although she sometimes may look cool without smiles in her appearance, and she talks seriously. Nevertheless, she is very concerned about us and takes good care of us. We know her heart is full of love.
It's a strange sentence, but I think the writer means that his mother doesn't appear warm, but has a warm heart.
