But somebody stole all my tricks, leaving me disillusioned.

What does "A" mean by the next sentence?
    1. But somebody stole all my tricks, leaving me disillusioned.

A: When I was little, I wanted to become a magician.
But somebody stole all my tricks, leaving me disillusioned.
I should've stuck with it. I'm good at making girls disappear!

Re: But somebody stole all my tricks, leaving me disillusioned.

It's a play on words. Another word for a trick is an illusion. So when someone stole all his tricks he became "without illusions", "illusionless" or "disillusioned". The pun is based on the fact that the actual definition of "disillusioned" is akin to or "no longer having faith in something".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It's actually pretty funny, I think!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
