    in or on?

Hi, I'm often not sure when to use "on" and "in" when talking about location. Which of the following are correct?

    I walk on the path.
    I walk in the path.

    I walk on the pavement.
    I walk in the pavement.

    I walk on the street.
    I walk in the street.

    Thanks for your help.
