Hi
I came across one exercise concerning different ways to make a sentence more emphatic.
The house was so/just expensive. The answer was "so". I don't disagree. However, I wonder if it's possible to have just here as well. I think I have heard it before (just before adjective). Can't we use it (just+adjective) to emphasize something?
P.S. Could you kindly tell me if we can't use it to emphasize, so what does it mean exactly? It's just expensive.
Thanks a million.
