    fasting in Ramadan

What does a Muslim say at the end of the day in Ramadan?
    1. I have been fasting today.
    2. I have fasted today.
    3. I fasted today.
    4. I was fasting today.

When you talk to someone, is it correct to say "Are you fasting today?"

    Re: fasting in Ramadan

    A. Any of the four are possible, depending on how the speaker views the situation.

    B. Yes.

ps. If the speaker is talking to a fellow Muslim, these things are unlikely to be said. They would feel little need to state, or ask about, the obvious.
