In my country, we stand on the top of the roof and fly kites and then we try to cut each other's kite string. Are the following sentences correct?
1) He cut my kite free yesterday.
2) He cut my kite loose yesterday.
3) He cut my kite string yesterday.
4) He cut the string of my kite yesterday.
The things people do to pass the time! I blow bubbles.
#1 suggests that your kite had been caught in something. The English is OK, but it's not appropriate here.
#2 suggests to me the the same idea as #1.
#4 is possible.
#3 is fine.
