    Post Attend A movie

    news.yahoo.com/3-arrested-separate-dark-knight-incidents-080930278.html

"Courtois said he had attended the Batman movie on Saturday, although police have not confirmed whether he actually saw the film."

I thought one could attend a meeting, or an event. A movie is not an event. So, is the usage in the example wrong? Would "attended a showing of the movie" be better?

    Re: Attend A movie

    Hi,

Besides, I believe that this refers to the premiere of the Batman movie, which is an event.

    Re: Attend A movie

So, "attend a movie" would be wrong if it is not a premiere?

We'll close the thread here. As Blua Skya is the clone of a banned user who asks endless trivial follow-up questions, it could become very tedious
