    To nod in

    I canīt find out the exact meaning of the verb "to nod in". It often appears in the sport articles, especially in football terminology, such as "...before providing the cross for somebody to nod in and keep alive the chances..., or "They allowed him to nod in unmarked.

    To head the ball into the goal, but when it is a simple easy task, the same way you tap the ball in with your foot when there's an open goal.
