    He grew up really good!

I learned a grammatical term like pseudo complement - this is my translation, it may not be correct - and the applications are like this, meaning that even adjectives can describe a verb. In gw1, does "real good" describe "grew up"? And does it have no problem, compared to "grew up really well"? When is it used?
ex)He came home happy. She returned safe.

    -gw1
ghost - he sent to your mother..
ghost's son - Is he here?
Mel- Yeah, right here with us. Yes, tell him yes.
ghost - Tell him, he grew up real good.(really well) Tell him I'm proud of him.
Mel- He said you grew up really well.

Re: He grew up really good!

The ghost did not use "proper" grammar so Mel, who would never say "you grew up real good" automatically tranlsated it into correct grammar.

I've heard and seen this kind of usage, which I thought is not ungrammatical.
So isn't it accepted as a natural exceptionl part of grammar? If not, why was it used here in the drama?

Because not everyone speaks proper grammar, and characters on television and movies reflect this.
