    change of tense

Teacher, can I use "will be" or "would be"?

I called her to tell her that I will be emailing the form to her.

    or

I called her to tell her that I would be emailing the form to her.

    Re: change of tense

    Hi,

IMO, you can use both, but there are slight differences in meaning.

#1 means that at the moment of speaking you still haven't emailed the form to her.
#2 means that you have already sent it to her.

    #1: You are correct.
#2: You are not necessarily correct.

If the form has been emailed, we use 'would'. If it hasn't, we have free choice between the two forms.
