    the or not the?

    Hi,

    Which sentence is correct?

"We are at the riverbank of the San Francisco River"

    or

"We are at the riverbank of San Francisco River".

    Is it "at" or "on"?

    Re: the or not the?

Usually you'd say something like "we're on the banks of the San Francisco River."
