I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I think that some speakers would add a "do."
Tom: It's been wonderful seeing you.
Mona: Same here.
Tom: Do stop by more often!
Mona: Absolutely! Each time I come to town, I promise that I will stop by to see you all.
