Dear all,

I'd like to ask a silly question which confuses me...

The sentence is:

I was in a bad mood today!

Actually, I know everyone knows what I'm saying, I mean, I was in a bad mood in the passing time today. But as I search on the Internet, it seems that past tense should not be used with "today"...so can anyone tell me if this sentence is grammatically correct? Thanks.

If your day has come to an end (say, it's 10 pm or so) then it's okay. If it's still relatively early (2 pm, 11 am, even 5 or 6 pm) then try "I've been in such a bad mood today" if it continues or "I was in such a bad mood earlier today" if the bad mood has lifted.
