    friends

    The following four collocations:

    1.expand my circle of friends
    2.extend my circle of friends
    3.broaden my circle of friends
    4. make friends as much as possible

Which one of them is natural from a native's point of view?

    Thanks

    Jason

    Re: friends

    3 comes nearest for me.

I'd say 'I need to widen my circle of friends.'

What about "to enlarge the circle of his acquaintances/friends."?

    Re: friends

    Hi,

However, for #4, I'd say 'make as many friends as possible', to sort of match the intended meanings of the previous sentences.
