    Question wild red?

    Hi all.

What is the adjective for a color that is too bright in such a way which stands out a mile and grabs all the people's attention? Is it wild red or anything else?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: wild red?

That sounds like a "blazing red".
Extremely bright colours are also described as "dazzling" or "brilliant".

    Re: wild red?

How important is communicating the inappropriate brightness of the red? If it is, then a purely descriptive word like 'scarlet' won't so. In a dress, for example, 'fire-engine red' might convey the meaning you want.
