    "also" and "either"

    There are two sentences. One reads: Reading is not easy, and writing is also not easy.
    Another one reads: Reading is not easy, and writing is not easy, either.
    Are they both correct? or the second one is more commonly used?
    Looking forword to your help.

    #1 is OK.

    #2 is better and probably more commonly used.

    You could also say 'Reading is not easy, and neither is writing'.
