    way - what does it mean in here?

    - This coffee's way too hot. Can you get me an ice cube so I can cool it off?

    I cannot understand the meaning of way...
    can you explain it?

    You can use "way" informally instead of "much" in every situation where you are saying "much too..." For example "much too hot/cold/fat/thin/wet/dry etcetera.
