    "Grow wild" or "grow wildly"?

In my local paper, they wrote:

This tree grows wild in many areas of the world.

Is "grow wild" correct? If so, are there any differences between "grow wild" and "grow wildly"?

I hope to hear from you soon.

    TIA!

'Grow wild' is fine. Wild here means 'in the natural environment without cultivation or control'.

Wildly is used to mean 'in an uncontrolled manner'.

'The dog ran wildly around the room.'

Yes, that's possible in the right context.

Re: "Grow wild" or "grow wildly"?

Some of my friends said that it should be "go wrongly". But it doesn't seem OK to me. I don't know why.
By the way, thanks a lot. Your answer really hepls.
