Dear all,

Could you please help me check the two sentences and tell me which expression is correct? I'm very eager to know the answer. Thank you so much!

I'm so sorry to lose your CD you lent me the other day. I am willing to buy you a new one.
If you don't like this idea, I will give you money of equivalent value as your CD as a replacement.

...I will give you the money of the same value as your CD as a replacement.

A better title would have been I'm so sorry to lose your CD.

'I'm so sorry I lost the CD you lent me the other day. Shall I buy you a new one or give you the money for something else?'
