gerunds in order to or for Ving

    Hi,

ENGLISH PAGE - Gerunds and Infinitives Part 3

    17. Sometimes infinitives are used to express the idea of "in order to do something."

    Examples:

.He bought the English dictionary to look up difficult words. (in order to look up)
.Janine sold her car to get the money that she needed. (in order to get)
.Juan uses Englishpage.com to learn English. (in order to learn)

My question is that can't we use this style with the gerunds also?

    For example:

    1) I can postpone everything to see her again. (in order to see)

    or

    2) I can postpone everything for seeing her again.

Which one is OK? Number 1 or 2?

    Thanks.
