    never forgot

This was a ploy he used regularly, to ensure you never forgot his position in the company.

Is it right to use the past tense form of forget in the above sentence? Can I use forget in the above sentence?

    Thanks!

    Re: never forgot

You appear to be talking about a past situation (was, used), so forgot, past tense, is the natural form to use.

Can I say "This is a ploy he used regularly, to ensure you never forget his position in the company."?
