    Bothersome, bother/disturb and caused usage in sentences.

    1) I do not want to be bothersome while you are doing your
    ( Can I use bothersome in this sentence?)

    2) I do not want to bother/disturb my mom when she is busy.
    ( bother/ disturb, which is more appropriate?)

    3) My comment had caused the two of them to breakup/ divorce.
    ( Can I use caused in this sentence?).

    1 - it works, after a fashion, but it's not nearly as good as 2. Being 'bothersome' usually involves being a bother either several times or continually.

    3 Yes, you can use 'caused' in that case (but you can't use 'breakup' as a verb - it's 'break up'). Alternatively make it a noun: 'My comment had caused the breakup/divorce.'
