A comment on news, several questions on that.

Odd form of drama-queendom being shown by every media outlet re:current weather. We just had a severe drought, and rather than treating this turn of events in a celebratory manner and dancing in the streets, they scream like Chicken Little.

People have learned from Katrina and will seek high ground as needed. Thanks God for the rain people. The Earth is thirsty!

Above dotted line is a comment from news.
    1. I don't get "re:corrent weather" here.What does that mean?
    2. 'We just had a severe drought, and rather than treating this turn of events in a celebratory manner and dancing in the streets' This sentence doesn't need to be rewrite like this? " We just had a severe drought, andrather than treating this turn of event as a disaster, treat it in a celebratory manner and dance in the streets" ???

    3. 'Turn of events' or 'turn of event'?
    4. Chicken little means little chicken?

Chicken Little was a 2005 film.

Chicken Little was a character in a story long before that.

    1. "re:" means "regarding." In other words, "on the subject of"
    2. No. It is fine as is. The storm should alleviate the drought conditions, so people should be happy. Instead they run around in a panic screaming that "the sky is falling."
    3. Turn of events
    4. No.
