Jane and I are good friends, thouh we look different on the outside. I am as slim as a rake while she is big and strong. Someone in our class once joked that she looked like a big talking snowball with two smiling tiny eyes.

Is "as slim as a rake" a natual collocation?

Thanks

Jason

While I've never heard this expression, I imagine that its meaning would be understood by most listeners. "Thin as a rail" is what is frequently heard.

"As thin as a rake" is common in BrE.
