What is the meaning of "for the report" in the following sentence?

The three machines tested for the report contained different types of safety valve.

Shamsiyan, by now you probably already know the drill. What do you think? Have you tried consulting a dictionary?

I consulted some dictionaries, but nothing had been written about that phrase.

I think that it means "experimentally" .

    What is your opinion?

"For the report" isn't a fixed (idiomatic) phrase.

Not necessarily. It means that someone was writing a report, whishing to compare three different machines. One of the things they saw (or knew beforehand) was the difference in their safety valves.
