    for what it's worth

    Hi,
Could you please provide a synonym for "for what it's worth"?

P.S. According to CALD, it's said when you're giving someone a piece of information and you're not certain if that information is useful or important.

    Thanks a million.

That definition is accurate. Why do you want a synonym?

Yeah, it's accurate. Honestly speaking I myself can't digest it well enough. Can I use the following alternatives?
    - Believe it or not.
    - Like it or not.
-Even if it's not that much important.
    - I should say.

P.S. I'm trying to find some alternative for that in my mother tongue. The meaning is really clear. However, as I can't find any alternatives in my first language, I need a synonym please.

    Thanks a lot.

    Re: for what it's worth

Hi moonlike. Your interpretation is correct, but the four alternatives provided in your last post do not sound natural (to me).

I think a couple of synonyms would be

    "If it helps, . . . "
"If it makes you feel better, . . . "
    "I'm not sure if it matters but . . . "

I'm sure that there are other options as well--those are just the few that came to mind in the moment. It also depends on the sentence you are using, so if you'd like to give an example that would help us provide a specific suggestion.

Thanks, I got it. Actually I come across it a lot in films. However, the alternatives you provided were of use to me.
