Hi teachers,
in the following sentence, the punctuation should be comma or semicolon.
How to bring out an elephant from refrigerator?
There are three steps:
a. (1) open the refrigerator, (2) bring it out, and (3) close the refrigerator.
b. (1) open the refrigerator; (2) bring it out; and (3) close the refrigerator.
c. (1) open the refrigerator; (2) bring it out, and (3) close the refrigerator.

None of those are natural. The punctuation used for a sentence doesn't applied to numbered lists of phrases.
There are three steps: (1) open the refrigerator (2) bring it out(3) close the refrigerator.
You could use commas - as you would if it were a sentence without numbers.
