    What's British?

What do British people say: 'to wash the dishes', 'to do the dishes', 'to wash up'? What's is American and what's incorrect? Thanks in advice.

    Re: What's British?

In my part of the UK (South) it's usually "to do the washing up" or "to wash up".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

You wash the dishes or do the dishes in the US.

You'll hear all of these used in BrE, but I agree with Emsr2d2 about the most common forms.
