Did he say that she was an old woman?

    Hi teachers,
    Context;
Out in the road Adam said, Stupid old woman!
‘Yes,’ Felix said.‘Perhaps she was… and perhaps she wasn’t.’

According to the above context, the following question and answer would be correct, won’t they?
Did Felix say that Marta was a stupid old woman?
No. He only said that perhaps se was.

    Thanks in advance.

All good, aside from one small typo in a personal pronoun.

    Hi abaka,
    Thank you for your reply.
No. He only said that perhaps she was.

    Hello, Learning:

I know what a wonderful teacher you are, so I am always worried that one of your students might say, "Teacher, I think that you have made a mistake."

Since I know from past experience that you welcome input from all members, may I most respectfully point out a tiny

    mistake in your tag question:

The following question and answer would be correct, wouldn't they?

    Sincerely yours,

    James

    Hello James,
Oops! Thank you very much for your correction. Though I know it should be written that way, I didn't notice it at all.
Any time, you are more than welcome to correct me.

    Best regards
    L.
