    In this context which should I use?

    Adaptation or adapted?

    Follow the pattern earlier in the sentence. "Directed by" was used so "and adapted by" would naturally follow. If you separated it into two independent phrases, you could use whatever you like:

    Directed by Chris Columbus. Big screen adaptation by Richard Harris.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
